More pictures of brick walls… All of the joists for the new first floor are up. We’ll put another post up tomorrow with some photos of the first floor and the new views we’ll get when its complete. But to be honest we are too knackered to move the ladder at the moment. So we have scaffolding up as the walls of the first floor are taking shape

And you can start to see the new downstairs taking shape. On the left of this photo will be the utility room and the downstairs loo

And the lounge is nearly ready to have its bifold door lintel and then the roof put up:

The lintel will go across this gap

And then the first photo of some of the guys responsible for the progress so far:From left to right: Shelby (Alex’s wife), Shaun, Xander, Alex and Charlie. Missing from this are Gareth (he of the dulcet tones) and Kevin.

We used to have a 120 foot garden, but it has been turned into a sculpture park for modern art. Here are two of the works in the “Insulation” section

And finally, in case some of you were worried that Jasper has been forced to stand guard at the Cat Window since we started, some reassurance that Bailey, while making sure she enjoys herself, has taken her fair share of guard shifts…
