And now for something completely different

We did say that occasionally we’d branch out from talking about concrete, brick patterns and light switches. and today is the first of those posts. And its because Maddie and I are both very excited and very proud.

For those of you who don’t know, in her second year as an undergraduate architect, Charlotte and her friend Alex Horsman entered and won a competition to design a pavilion to go outside the new, RIBA nominated, school of architecture at the University. It has taken a while, but Oxford Brookes have just released a video showing the pavilion in all its glory. Well almost – there are still a few fences around it, but it is pretty much there. On the video, Charlotte is the second voice you can hear.

Well done Charles – its an awesome achievement and we can’t wait for the official opening ceremony.
